Terms of Service

1. About ASQscholar

ASQscholar ("the Platform") is a learning management system developed and operated for use by higher education institutions, faculty members, and enrolled students. By creating an account or using any part of the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility

Use of the Platform is restricted to:

• University faculty and academic staff registered under an institutional account
• Students enrolled in courses administered through ASQscholar by their institution
• Department administrators authorised by their institution

Accounts created with false institutional information will be suspended without notice.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform solely for legitimate academic and instructional purposes. You must not:

• Share your account credentials with any other person
• Attempt to bypass exam integrity controls, browser lockdown, or audit logging
• Upload content that violates copyright, contains malware, or is otherwise unlawful
• Use the Platform to collect, harvest, or redistribute student data for commercial purposes
• Attempt to access data belonging to another institution, faculty member, or student

4. Faculty Responsibilities

Faculty members who use AI-assisted grading or question generation tools on the Platform acknowledge that:

• All AI-generated content requires explicit faculty review and approval before use
• No AI-generated grade or feedback is released to students without faculty authorisation
• The faculty member remains the sole responsible party for all published assessment content and grade records

5. Intellectual Property

Course materials, assessment content, and question banks uploaded by faculty remain the intellectual property of the faculty member or their institution. ASQscholar does not claim ownership of user-generated academic content.

The ASQscholar platform, interface, software, and branding are the intellectual property of ASQscholar and may not be reproduced, reverse-engineered, or redistributed without written permission.

6. Account Termination

ASQscholar reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, engages in academic misconduct facilitated through the Platform, or is associated with fraudulent institutional credentials. Grade records and assessment data can be exported upon request prior to termination.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" for instructional purposes. ASQscholar does not warrant uninterrupted availability and shall not be liable for loss of data resulting from circumstances outside its reasonable control. Institutions are encouraged to maintain independent records of official grade submissions.

8. Modifications

ASQscholar may update these Terms. Registered users will be notified by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.
