Request account deletion

Use this form to ask us to delete your ASQScholar account and the personal data attached to it. If you can still sign in to the mobile app, you can make the same request from Profile, and you can cancel it there yourself.

What happens after you ask

  1. We record your request and check that it really comes from the owner of the account. We may write to the email address you give below.
  2. A review period of 30 days starts. Your account keeps working normally during this time, so nothing is lost if you change your mind. Tell us, or cancel in the app, and the request stops.
  3. After the review period an administrator processes the request. Your name, email address, phone number, photo, national ID number, roll number and any linked Google sign-in are removed from your account record. Push notification registrations and app sign-in tokens are deleted, and the account can no longer be used to sign in.

What we keep, and why

Your academic records stay. Quiz and exam attempts, assignment submissions and their marks, attendance and enrolment history are institutional records that your university has to keep for its own examination and accreditation rules. They remain after your account is anonymized, but they are no longer labelled with your personal details. If your institution allows a full erasure in your case, contact your department directly.

We answer every request the same way, whether or not an account exists for the address you type. That is deliberate: it stops this page being used to find out who has an account.
